St. Petersburg 5k Run/Walk
This beautiful, primarily out-and-back course showcases St. Petersburg’s residential waterfront areas in and near Snell Isle.
With an early morning start time, most runners will complete the course before the sun rises high enough to present any challenges. Also, with just two inclines – a small bridge onto Snell Isle and back, this should be a lightning-fast course for those seeking a PR.
The Course
Our St. Petersburg Distance Classic 5K starts at 7:25 am at North Shore Park on St. Petersburg’s beautiful downtown waterfront. The course heads north into Snell Isle to view some of our area’s finest historic homes.
This race returns to the finish line via Coffee Pot Boulevard and North Shore Drive.

This was my first 5k, and I walked in the fitness walk. My friend and I were the last two to finish that walk, and I was very happy to do that.
Everything seemed to go well, I was very happy that you had a 5k walk. I just wish that there were more walks and some longer ones to progress to, thanks again for having a walk for those of us that are just starting to get in shape.
